UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (WUSA9) -- Police continue to look for an 80-year-old man from Upper Marlboro, Md. who suffers from dementia.

Lubin Phipps was last seen September 18 at 1 p.m. Maryland-National Capital Park Police say Phipps walked away from a senior picnic at Watkins Regional Park.

He is described by police as a black male, 5'6", 142 pounds, brown eyes, and grayish, slicked backed hair. He is  originally from the Virgin Islands and in conversation he will likely reference the Virgin Islands.

Some of Phipps’ caretakers remember him leaving his home wearing a blue-patterned, polo-style shirt with dark blue khakis and brown sandals.

Phipps struggles with dementia or memory impairment, according to police, and he may appear confused and distressed.

Anyone with information is urged to call the Maryland-National Capital Park Police Department at 301-459-3232.
